My Favorite Music Video

Music Video Type: Narrative/Concept

What makes this video interesting to me: One aspect of what makes this video interesting is knowing its backstory. Rhett and Link made this song ironically to kind of mock their fans who get mad at their uneven hoodie strings or their slightly off-centered mike, and proceed to unleash their rage in the comments section of the daily talk show, stating that the imperfection is "making their OCD go crazy". I also thought that the way they used different still frames from 1:50-1:52 and from 2:52-2:53 to imply Link's inner thinking and emotions added a uniqueness to the video.

P.S: Even though I wouldn't want to start a riot in the comments section about it, I too am agitated by these worldly imperfections. Watching these things be "fixed" is extremely satisfying for me, which just adds another layer of buttercream onto the cake for me, personally.

Headache Medicine Clinical Trial

Image
101 people participated in the trial. 54 were in the treatment group. 47 were in the placebo group.      As a part of the FDA, I probably wouldn't approve this medicine. Even thought 100% (101/101) people got better, 11% had side effects. You have specified that that 11% had side effects, but we do not know what the side effects are. We can not approve the medicine until we understand that the side effects aren't harmful, and can be easily cured.            Also, were the participants all in the same nature and stage of the disease when they took the medicine? Did you use a double blind study, or any other method to ensure accuracy and precision? Accuracy and precision is very important during a clinical trial. Did each person in each group receive the same amount of placebo/treatment? The amount of medicine could have made a difference in results. Was the protocol approved by an et...

English Formative Reflection: Q1

FORMATIVE LANGUAGE REFLECTION  My punctuation in all the sentence types are correct in all of the sentence types, but I could improve by being more precise. In both my complex and compound-complex sentences, I put an "of how" after my DMW in both. Removing this could definitely make my points more concise and more believable to a reader. Next time, I'd like to challenge myself by experimenting with different structures within the sentences. For joining independent clauses, I like to use the semicolon followed by a coordinating conjunction method. I would like to challenge myself next time to use FANBOYS instead, which would make my writing easier on the eye and would also make it more concise.  FORMATIVE SPEAKING REFLECTION The best part of the discussion was the "meat" of the discussion itself. Everyone came prepared, everyone had stuff to say with evidence to back it up. I feel we really got to broader ideas and it was fabulous. On the flip side...
