1. How did you become interested in this topic?
Her dad is strongly against gay rights, and so she wanted to do research to establish her position on gay rights (she is pro gay rights) and document the struggles of the LGBTQ community.
2. How is your topic related to Civil Rights?
Because her topic relates to the rights of gay people, including discrimination against them.
3. What are your next steps to complete your project?
She has her sources, script, and pictures; she just needs to put everything together.
4. What have you learned about your topic that's unexpected?
Even though she kind of knew this already, it was unexpected to her that states in the US only started legalising gay marriage in 2009.
